This year's Tea was sweet as I totally focused on Valentines Day for the food and decor. Themed "And The Sisters Showed Their Love" from John 12, fragranced oil bottles were given labeled, "The Fragrance of Love". This was to be a reminder of the perfume Mary poured on Jesus' feet before he was to die on the Cross as an act of love and devotion to Jesus Christ.

We each wrote and read a Valentine for Jesus. Such sweet sharing. He is what True Love is all about. I will post those Valentine messages once I have compiled them and secured their permission.

This was a blessed day with treasured friends. Absolutely Delightful!

Here is the Menu for the Tea:

Ice Water with mint Leaves

Raspberry Soup with Raspberry & Sour Cream Leaf Garnish

Caramelized Pears, with Walnuts, Dried Cranberries & Bleu Cheese on Endive

Chocolate, Chocolate Chip Scones

Maraschino Cherry and Pecan Scones

Cucumber & minted cream cheese on white bread rectangles, Tied w/bow & flower

Baked Ham & Cheese Crescent Sandwiches

Red Velvet Mini-cupcakes With Red Rose & White Chocolate Leaf

    1. Sue, thank you! You are so sweet! Lots of calories, but only one day. Well, okay, maybe more than one day!

  2. Oh it was more than a 3 pound gain, I assure you because I was THERE! The food was not only a visual delight, it was a culinary triumph! The decor made each woman feel transported back to Victorian days when life was slower and simplier, and time with friends a lingering moment. One thing the pictures can't capture is the lavish love that filled Debbie's house. That can only come from a heart like hers, not from any book....

    1. I did it again! Typo error "Party" rather than "Patty", but it fits! Wherever you are, it's a party of some kind! ;-)
