Tea is delightful in any combination of colors, but purple,polka-dots, and lavender florals bring a lot of cheer to this Valentines Tea. You can see the red and pink floral fans that were given us party favors. I have treasured a collection of Tea plates and antique glass for many years. I love sharing all of these with my dear friends. I love the look of a crocheted lace doily beneath the floral plate and atop the Depression Era Candlewick glass charger.

Polka-dots are so fun! I sewed the bows by taking a length of 44" fabric, and ripping it in half length wise, then ripping those pieces in half again lengthwise. I then sewed them into a rectangle, allowing a space within the fabric toward the middle to pull the fabric through, and then turning them inside out, ironing them, and tying them in this manor. I attached them from beneath with large safety pins.
We always rent white padded chairs for the entry-way and living room tables so the look has continuity and doesn't distract from the decorated tables.
This spinach salad with warm bacon dressing was to die for! I have asked my friend Patty to share it with me so that I may share it with you. Look for it in an upcoming blog post!
I was blessed to sit at this lovely table. With some of my wonderful & treasured friends. I particularly love this table Debbie does as it also just happens to be some of my favorite colors!
